Statement on Central Texas Floods Relief and Recovery

Lockheed Martin announced $500,000 in charitable donations to support local communities following unprecedented flooding in central Texas. This donation of $500,000 will support the Community Foundation of the Texas Hill Country and their Kerr County Flood Relief Fund. Grants from the fund will support vetted nonprofit organizations and first responder agencies providing rescue, relief, and recovery efforts, as well as flood assistance. 

“We are heartbroken to see the devasting impacts of these floods in communities across central Texas and the tremendous personal loss that so many families are experiencing. The Community Foundation is stepping up to coordinate an influx of much-needed resources, and they have our support,” said Dean Acosta, senior vice president and chief communications officer of Lockheed Martin. “Our company has deep ties to the state of Texas, and thousands of Lockheed Martin team members are proud to call Texas home.”

Lockheed Martin has also activated its Employee Disaster Relief Fund to provide emergency assistance to employees residing in FEMA-declared counties affected by the central Texas floods. Lockheed Martin philanthropic contributions align to critical community resilience efforts, military and veteran causes, and STEM educational initiatives. Lockheed Martin employees extend the company’s commitment to these causes through their personal giving and volunteerism, building stronger communities where our teammates live and work.
